Inspiration lives in the spaces between.

Every Thaden piece carries a silent narrative — a choreography of shapes, stillness, and suggestion. Deeply inspired by the Japanese concept of "Ma", which values the meaningful void between forms, Kristina Thaden draws from her background in theater and movement to explore how absence can speak louder than presence.

“I’m fascinated by the in-between — the frozen movement, the echo of intention. In that stillness, I feel the full force of potential.”

Each handbag begins as a captured gesture: “The Whole” holds the energy of a motion caught midair — bold yet open, inviting its owner to complete the story. “The Little Rocket” takes its cues from the female form and the infinite loop, repeating one perfect curve in every angle. “The Love Curve” is a message of affection: abstract yet universal, a heart unfolded with elegance and intention.

Kristina doesn’t see herself as a designer in the traditional sense, but as a listener — a transmitter for forms that reveal themselves. Like a director guiding a performance, she follows the natural evolution of the idea, giving it just enough space to become itself.
